This pause affects some of OpenAI’s significant training initiatives, which remain on hold as the company works towards resuming normal development operations. A key focus is enhancing AI alignment, which is critical to ensuring that AI systems, as they become more advanced, continue to adhere to human instructions, stay under human control, and function according to intended purposes.
Recent internal tests on OpenAI’s forthcoming Astra model revealed considerable progress in autonomous coding and cybersecurity features.
