In an exciting development for fans of Quentin Tarantino’s universe, Brad Pitt will reprise his role as Cliff Booth in a new film directed by David Fincher. Titled “The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth,” this Netflix project continues the journey of Booth, a Hollywood stuntman with an enigmatic past, as he faces the evolving landscape of the film industry.
The screenplay for this intriguing spin-off was penned by Tarantino himself, though he opted not to direct it. He has previously expressed a desire to avoid ending his directorial career with a sequel, despite his enthusiasm for the Cliff Booth character. The narrative is set in 1977, a full eight years after the events depicted in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” and delves into Cliff Booth’s adaptation to a transformed Hollywood scene.
Scheduled for a limited two-week global IMAX release starting November 25, the film will subsequently become available for streaming on Netflix on December 23. Alongside Brad Pitt, the film boasts an impressive cast, including Elizabeth Debicki, Scott Caan, Carla Gugino, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Peter Weller, Matt Groove, JB Tadena, Corey Fogelmanis, and Karren Karagulian.
The original movie, “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” featured Pitt alongside Leonardo DiCaprio and Margot Robbie, capturing the essence of Los Angeles in the late 1960s. Now, with David Fincher at the helm, the spin-off promises a fresh creative vision. Fincher’s notable directorial works include “Fight Club,” “Zodiac,” “The Social Network,” and “Gone Girl,” along with acclaimed Netflix series such as “House of Cards” and “Mindhunter.”
